STAFF REPORT KHI: Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology Chancellor Engr Adil Usman has said that their university has undertaken concerted efforts and turned out over 13,000 graduates, so far, who are capable to meet the demand of modern world. He was addressing the SSUET graduates at the universitys 18th Convocation that was held to commemorate academic accomplishments of its students at the Expo Centre Karachi in which some 1100 students from the various disciplines were awarded masters degrees.


“The university is a progressive institution that looks forward to meet the requirements of prudent technical education and practices. For this purpose, the curriculum of engineering is regularly reviewed, upgraded and improved. Simultaneously, new disciplines are periodically added.”


Addressing the ceremony Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Jawaid Hasan Rizvi said that Sir Syed University has been making efforts to increase seats and introduce new technologies.


He informed that the University is pioneer in introducing Biomedical Engineering Department and Biomedical Engineers turned out by SSUET are playing a significant role in the maintenance of the equipment in the hospitals.


Students were also honoured with gold, silver and bronze medals for their outstanding achievements in their academic career.
