According to the agreement, the Qubee customers will be able to pay for their bills through Upaisa mobile accounts or by walking in to any Ufone Service Centres and Franchise, Ubank branches and 25,000+ Upaisa outlets across Pakistan. STAFF REPORT ISB: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed to enhance industry-academia linkages. HEC Executive Director Prof. Mansoor Akbar Kund and IICI President Shaban Khalid signed the MoU. The ICCI and the HEC agreed to carry out joint research in academic institutes by setting up incubation and skill development centres to produce knowledgeable and skilled workforce according to needs of the market trends. Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a widespread disease caused by a tick-borne virus (Nairovirus) of the Bunyaviridae family. The CCHF virus causes severe viral haemorrhagic fever outbreaks, with a case fatality rate of 10–40%.
The disease was first characterized in the Crimea in 1944 and given the name Crimean hemorrhagic fever. It was then later recognized in 1969 as the cause of illness in the Congo, thus resulting in the current name of the disease.
Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever is found in Eastern Europe, particularly in the former Soviet Union, throughout the Mediterranean, in northwestern China, central Asia, southern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. پنجاب میں سالانہ تقریبا ۶۰ لاکھ ایکڑ رقبہ پر کپاس کی کاشت اور ۲۲ من فی ایکڑ اوسط پیداوار حاصل ہوتی ہے۔ کپاس کی روائتی نان بی ٹی اقسام کی جگہ اب بی ٹی اقسام نے لے لی ہے، جبکہ بی ٹی اقسام کی پانی اور کھادوں کی ضروریات روایتی اقسام کے مقابلہ میں کافی زیادہ ہیں، لیکن ان اقسام کی سنڈیوں کے خلاف قوت مدافعت کے باعث اسپرے پر اٹھنے والے اخراجات میں نمایاں کمی بھی آئی ہے۔ بی ٹی اقسام میں چتکبری اور امریکن سنڈیوں کے خلاف قوت مدافعت کپاس کی پیداوار میں اضافہ کا سبب بن سکتی تھی لیکن ان بی ٹی اقسام پر رس چوسنے والے کیڑوں کے حملہ کی زیادتی کے علاوہ کھاد اور پانی کی زیادہ ضروریات نے کاشتکاروں کیلئے بہتر نگہداشت اور انتظام کی ضرورت میں اضافہ کر دیا ہے۔
