Promotion of innovation, science in farming stressed

STAFF REPORT KHI: Agricultural research is a critical driver of growth and development in agricultural sector, however, Pakistan’s agricultural research system stands at a crossroads today. The devolution of agriculture and livestock to provinces and other long-term changes in the economy underscore the need for science-based decision-making on all agricultural policy making.
Experts expressed these remarks during a high-level meeting on “promoting science and technology in agriculture in Pakistan” in Karachi.
