STAFF REPORT KHI: The SZABIST Model United Nations (ZABMUN) 2014 has recently started its operations after its inauguration at a ceremony held in Karachi.
ZABMUN is run by the SZABIST students with the aim to promote productive debate and dialogue through a series of conferences.
Students from around 200 schools and universities take part in ZABMUN every year, where they learn diplomacy, negotiation and dialogue in order to get groomed into effective orators.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, SZABIST Chancellor, said, “The best leaders or the best revolutionaries are those who bring about individual change.”
Amidst a thunderous round of applause, ZABMUN VII President Aly Hassam said that with ZABMUN, they aim to lead the youth on a journey that is designed to shape the shifting sands of time.
