Staff Report ISB: In order to spread environmental education and build resource for nature conservation, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between World Wildlife Federation-Pakistan (WWF-Pak) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) for International Eco-Internship Programme (IEIP). 
The programme is one of the most bulging environmental education campaigns of WWF-Pakistan with more than 8,000 students participating each year from different areas of Pakistan. The objective of the programme is to offer peerless learning opportunity to students from grade 6 onwards and to give students a chance to become affiliated with an international organization, taking first steps towards professions in the environment sciences and work for nature conservation.
The International Eco-Internship Programme is a schematic workshop based on 6 dynamic sessions that provide students an opportunity to learn more about the pressing environmental challenges at hand.
According to MoU, SNGPL will sponsor 3,000 students under WWF-Pak International Eco-Internship Programme 2015. The agreement was signed by Anwar Naseem, Senior Director Operations, WWF-Pak and Amer Tufail, Deputy Managing Director Services, SNGPL
Anwar Naseem said, “We are ambitious to reach out to great number of students, so that the youth of this country can be prepared to promote nature conservation and deal with the challenges associated with it.”
Amer Tufail also addressed to the participants and said, “This is an incredible opportunity for students to work for environment conservation and to protect the biodiversity of our country. We are investing in our youth for a greener Pakistan and a better tomorrow”.
The signing of this agreement is of great importance in nature conservation perspective and will impact a great deal on combating the impending challenges to nature and biodiversity conservation.
