STAFF REPORT ISB: A Chinese delegation led by Din Hai Tao visited International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) for a meeting with Prof Dr Masoom Yasinzai, Rector IIUI. The meeting was aimed to discuss mutual avenues of cooperation in education sector for development of youth specifically in context to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).


The meeting center of gravity was the agreement of both sides on establishment of IIU New Silk Road School of Technology. The Chinese delegation also included Chinese entrepreneurs who offered their support in administrative role of establishment of SandT School for technological advancement in the country.


Masoom Yasinzai said, “CPEC is the crucial venture that is win win project for both countries and it will greatly impact; it is imperative to take advantage of the opportunity and extend our maximum collaboration for promotion of SandT and development of youth under that framework.”


Din Hai Tao remarked, “It is worthwhile to collaborate with Pakistani institutions to make joint efforts for youth development through furthering SandT knowledge.”


Number of ideas were exchanged such as establishment of institute of vocational training, faculty exchange programmes, scholarships and other opportunities both countries could cash in for youth development.
