STAFF REPORT ISB: In order to exchange ideas for technology sector promotion and human resource development; first meeting of Sub Committee of Cabinet on Human Resource (HR) and technology was held.
Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, Ahsan Iqbal presided the meeting in which he said, “The government is committed for technology uplifting because it plays a pivotal role in national development. This subcommittee formation also serves the purpose to improve inter-ministerial coordination, planning and execution strategy of specific programmes pertaining to technology”.
The strategy to use technology as tool to overall improve different sectors including education, health and making advancements for better public service delivery was discussed and feedback was taken from different representatives from the relevant Ministries.
The participants of meeting included Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain; Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Baleeghur Rehman; Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar and other senior federal secretaries/officials participated in the event.
