ISLAMABAD: The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Pakistan held a pre-departure orientation for the government officials who are selected for Master Degree Scholarship 2016.


With a mission to support Human Resources Development (HRD) in developing countries, KOICA invites talented people from developing countries and helps them gain professional and systematic knowledge that will play a key role in their home countrys development.


To accomplish this mission, KOICA has been operating masters degree courses with leading Korean universities in the fields of Public policy, Finance and Economics, ICT, Health, Agriculture, Rural Development, Fisheries Science, Development studies and Womens empowerment.


Mr. Sung Choon-ki Country Director KOICA Pakistan welcome and congratulated the scholars. He briefly shared the miraculous socio-economic development in Korea and ask the participants to avail this excellent opportunity to learn from Koreas development during their stay and to share their experience in Pakistan for sustainable development. The KOICA alumni Mr. Kamran Nawaz (Sungkyunkwan University) and Ms. Rabia Jahangir (Yonsie University) briefed the newly selected fellows on the experience they have in Korean universities, Koreas culture and lifestyle. Later, Mr. Mohsin Khan Program Coordinator of KOICA and Ms. Oh Hayeon Program Officer briefly introduced the master courses and orientate participants about the logistics of the training program. The selected scholars showed their gratitude and assure their support for KOICA and Korean government and committed to bring social and policy reforms in Pakistan after learning from Korean experience.
