NTU: National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad has developed a machine with a new innovative heating and dying system that enable it to utilize approximately 20 to 30 percent less energy due to the introduction of a new innovative heating and dying system.

The experts of the NTU Dr. Yasir Nawab and Muhammad Ayub Asghar after comprehensive research and continuous efforts designed this machine. The machine was designed to do sizing and dying in the textile sector and saving energy.

While talking about the machine, Dr. Yasir Nawab said, “process of dying and sizing requires too much energy, as a result, increases the price of commodities. PSF, Pakistan Science Foundation funded for the development of a machine for the textile sector. This new machine is safe for staff and works more efficiently. High pricing of cotton fabric was a critical issue that affects the quality of the fabric is now solved with this invention”.

He explained, “We will devise a way to change the sizing industry and save energy in collaboration All Pakistan Sizing Industry Association (APSIA) and Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce & Industry Association (APSIA) and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI). ” He added that APSIA and FCCI decided to standardize the new machine in order to improve cost and quality of sizing.

He further said that FCCI leaders visited weaving department of NTU and discussed the use of lab scale sizing machine for industries. The private sector has also approached to make changes in their system by replacing NTU’s machine by their old machines. He told that we will help the textile industry for the reimbursement of the national economy.
