The 10th Launchpad of Plan9’s expert panel has declared 9 startups companies as winners that are Nazdeeq, Noerric, Studentary, BagAdverts, Team Up, Her Ground, Virtual Eye, Foodappa and RC Health Care Startups will further be incubated for 6 months.

“‘Studentary’ was one of the winner startups was about buying or selling of those old books whose fate is to dump can get potential buyers for those”, told Laraib Ali CEO and founder of ‘Studentary’ to the panel of expert.

Laraib also said that their project has been run previously in 5 universities i.e., LUMS, LSE, FC, UMT, and UCP and our incubator is launched in August.

He said that Plan9 is the largest technology incubator of Pakistan that can contribute to access a substantial number of people. We can make Pakistan proud by using our resources to meet our potential mentors and acquire our aim to save old books.

We have tried to build a link between the seller and buyer by reducing some percentage. Laraib said while discussing his model of business was motivated by LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship to take his idea to a bigger level and also financed the project.

Laraib has his degree in statistics from England and team to fulfill his mission of saving books from going to waste.

Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) ’s project Plan9 incubated 160 startups, generated 800 jobs, earned $3.8 million investment and produced $3.6 million in revenues in their last 5 years record of accomplishment.

“It was highly encouraging to receive around 1000 applications that are shortlisted to 100 for competition and finally 9 of them declared as the winner for 10th Launchpad for incubation the future of Pakistan”, said Dr. Umar Saif PITB Chairman in his address in the concluding ceremony of Plan9’s 10th Launchpad.

Dr. Umar Saif further said that the Plan9 has successfully established a platform for people who came with dreams that seem improbable and helped them in accomplishing their goals. A common Pakistani can mark the world through this platform. I am hopeful for the entrepreneurial ecosystem to flourish and will see Pakistani startups marking the world successfully.

The US Consul General Yuriy Fedkiw and Ann Mason and Meghan Mercier have also graced the occasion with their presence at the event. He said while addressing to young entrepreneurs do let your dreamer die whether you win or lose the competition. Today many among you take your ideas, implement, and soon using your product in the future.
