STAFF REPORT IBD: The winners of Intel National Science Fair-2012 “Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovations” have recently been awarded prizes at the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF).
An orientation session for the students selected for participation in the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) -2012, was also held on this occasion.
The PSF, as part of its science popularization activities in the country also encourage the students by providing awards and prizes to the winners of science competitions as well as support Pakistani students to participate in the international scientific events and forums.
Addressing on the occasion, PSF Chairman Prof. Dr. Manzoor H. Soomro, exhorted the students to plan their career at their early stage of studies and work hard to contribute to the national development. He said that PSF promotes such research and educational programmes directly or in collaboration with other governmental and non-governmental organizations.
The Chairman said they would continue to support and help in arranging such activities. He also talked about PSF Inquiry-Based Science Learning Program initiated to polish youths talent and thinking approach.
Dr. N.M. Butt, Dr. Aslam Baig, Dr. Khalil Ibupoto and Khadija Bashir also spoke on this occasion.
