STAFF REPORT IBD: The Siemens Pakistan has installed five water filtration plants in villages affected by floods – two of them have been installed in Sujawal, one in Civil Hospital Sujawal and the other in Govt Boys High School Sujawal, while the rest have been installed at the villages constructed by Pak Navy for flood victims at Belo Goth M. Khan Bijoro and Village Aelomallah near Sujawal as also at the High School Chur Jamali.
Each plant can purify 10,000 liters of water everyday thus providing clean drinking water to thousands of villagers in these areas. The installation of these water filtration plants will greatly help in reducing water borne diseases and save countless lives. These plants, which will require little maintenance, will have a life span of ten years.
Villagers in these areas have expressed great happiness at the installation of these filtration plants which will make the available water in their areas drinkable. The students at the schools are also delighted by this facility and relieved that during the coming long hot summer they will have clean drinking water within the school premises.
