STAFF REPORT KHI: International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) of University of Karachi has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Malaya. The agreement aims to grow academic and research cooperation between the two institutions in the area of natural and biological sciences.

ICCBS Director Prof. Dr M. Iqbal Chaudhary has recently visited Malaysia and signed the MoU while Vice Chancellor of the University of Malaya Prof. Dr Ghauth Jasmon signed the agreement on behalf of his institution.

According to the agreement, both the institutions will take steps to enhance relations between the two universities and to develop academic exchange in the area of education and research, and have agreed to classify team members to work on these research projects.

According to the MoU, the meeting of both institutions will be organized annually in the form of workshop, seminar and conference jointly conducted by them.

The University of Malaya is considered one of the best institutions in Malaysia, and the largest university of the Muslim world.

This agreement will be valid for a period of five years from the date of implementation and may be extended by mutual agreement g by both parties. This agreement may be ended by either partys giving 30 days written notice to the other party.
