STAFF REPORT IBD: The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, have on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make joint and coordinated efforts in the field of research and development of agriculture in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province for 10 years.

Dr Munir Ahmad, Secretary PARC and Prof. Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi, Vice Chancellor Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan signed the MoU at PARC headquarter. Moazam Ali Jatoi, State Minister for National Food Security and Research, Dr Iftikhar Ahmad, Chairman PARC, members and senior officers of PARC were also present on the occasion, the PARC spokesman said.

He said that both the sides agreed that they will ensure exchange and training of technical personnel and material for research and academic development. PARC and Gomal University will chalk out joint co-ordinated scientific research and technological development programmes in selected areas, he said.

The spokesman said that they also agreed to hold joint conference, seminars, symposia and workshops at national and international level. Under the MoU both will disseminate results of studies through joint national/international publications, he said.
