Staff Report ISD: To highlight the importance of alternative energy the Former Minister for Environment said that the use of alternative energy is compulsory to overcome the serious crisis of energy. He expressed his views while speaking as chief guest of the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition and fourth International Exhibition and Conference on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Pakistan (REAP) started at Pak China Friendship Centre.


Hameed Ullah Jan praised the private sectors active and positive role of the in promotion of alternative energy in the country. He said that Pakistan is rich and have abundant unlimited and non-conventional resources of energy which could be utilized to meet domestic and commercial energy demands. He continued by saying that there need of hour that we should concentrate on make it possible that maximum incentives should be given to the consumers for shifting towards renewable energy so that we should make it possible for everybody to fulfill the requirements.


While speaking in the ceremony, Naseer Ahmed, President REAP, stated that neglecting the importance of renewable energy can resulted in drastic effects as scientist has declared that we have mere decades left in our fossil fuel resources


Asif Jah, REAP Expo Convener emphasized on to adopt energy efficient methods and alternative energy equipment to meet energy related issues.


Col. Muhammad Tariq Khattak , Secretary General REAP said that the mega event has provided an opportunity to all participants to showcase their products and promote energy efficient technology to the consumers. The Ambassador Republic Jesus Zenen Buergo Concepcion was the guest of honor who appreciated the dedicated spirit and efforts of REAP for giving very affordable energy solutions.
