STAFF REPORT IBD: A grand declamation contest and prize distribution ceremony was organized by the Bahria Foundation College (North) in the city.


The winners of Inter Colleges Declamation contests, held throughout the country competed in the grand declamation contest. The Bahria Foundation Inter Region Declamation Trophy was won by Bahria Foundation North and BF Centre was runner-up, said a statement issued by Bahria Foundation College here.


A large number of students, teachers, principals and guests from Pakistan Navy attended the function.


Shields were also given to teachers on producing best board results, students showing more than 90% marks in board exams, students showing outstanding results in co-curricular activities and winning medals in International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest.


Special shields were awarded to the four compares of BFC Satellite Town campus on their outstanding performance.


Commodore Sohail Abid SI(M), CAN Education Pakistan Navy, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that with the fast changing environment, revaluations in the fields of science and technology, there was a dire need for imparting latest education to the students, for which the latest and most innovative curriculum had to be adopted.


He also stressed the need to inculcate moral and religious values among students and importance of co-curricular activities.
