Bahria University holds 13th convocation at Islamabad

Staff Report ISb: Bahria University Islamabad recently held its 13th convocation at Jinnah Convention Centre to confer degrees to Masters and undergraduate students. A total of 560 students were awarded the degrees. Pro- Chancellor of Bahria University, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah NI (M) graced the occasion with his benign presence as chief guest.
In the welcome address, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Tanveer Faiz, Rector Bahria University greeted the students and their parents, and wished them a thriving future. He said to students, “Your positive attitude and efficiency at the work place would reflect on you and your alma-mater to get the best reward. Never forget to apply the small virtues and morals you have learnt in life. Maintain your confidence and remain abreast with the latest developments taking place in your profession. I am confident that you possess all the ingredients to meet the challenges of practical life. Do not hesitate to look back to Bahria University for any support and guidance, you will always find us forthcoming and supportive. He added that higher education has now become a tool of economic growth. The universities have great responsibility of producing quality graduates who could contribute positively in various fields for economic growth of the country. Our vision is to prepare our students for the national as well as international market, while maintaining high standards of education.”
Muhammad Zakahullah awarded the 21 gold medals and 14 silver medals to high achievers of different departments. He said while addressing, “Global geo-political and geo-economic environment has become highly complex and challenging, due to which increasingly fierce and complex issues are confronting the world. Under such circumstances the role of youth for all nations in general and developing nations is inevitable. Therefore, a number of challenges are waiting for you in the forthcoming years and education is the only way forward to put country on path of progress and development.
