STAFF REPORT KHI: History has witnessed great scientists with a deep sense of literature, which is a trait of every healthy and successful person, said renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul.


He said this while inaugurating a three-day international conference on life sciences tilted emerging trends in biological sciences and genomics at the University of Karachi, which was jointly organized by the Dr A Q Khan Institute of the Biotechnology Genetic Engineering (KIBGE) and M A H Qadri Biological Research Centre, KU.


He said solution of every problem is present in the Holy Quran and all the scientific innovations, discoveries and inventions were way back mentioned in the holy book 1400 years ago.


“Many global scientists converted into Islam after witnessing and realising this fact,” he mentioned.


“I founded KIBGE and now in the dynamic leadership of Dr Abid Azhar, it is no less than an internationally reputed research institute,” he said.


He expressed that one must had a brief insight of the global, national and current affairs as today one needed it more than the past.


Dr Khan also launched a book entitled “Sohbat-e-Gul” written on the President of Pakistan Academy of Science and Scientist, Dr Anwar Nasim.


The book has been compiled by Prof. Dr. Abid Azhar and Ashfaq Hussain.


Vice Chancellor Ziauddin University Professor DrPirzadaQasim Siddiqui commented that the ceremony presented a great combination of science and literature.


“The combination of science and literature has always proven healthy and positive towards the human society,” he observed.
