Federal government to replicate PARC systems

Staff Report ISB: Following the installation of solar pumping and sprinkle irrigation by Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) in Fateh Jangh, federal government deliberates to introduce these systems in other areas as well in order to make sure cost effective utilization of irrigation water.
According to the sources, PARC has 500 master trainers with solar pumping and sprinkle irrigation system, who will train farmers in their respective areas to reduce use of water for agriculture and horticulture.
The main objective of this project is to equip farmers with latest technologies that will allow them to use minimum possible water for irrigation as well as to combat with the future water scarcity challenges.
