STAFF REPORT ISB: Huawei, the prime telecom company has launched Seeds for future programme in order to build capacities for future in Information Communication Technology (ICT). The launching ceremony of the programme was held in Islamabad.


According to the source 11 students belonging from different universities of Pakistan will be given the opportunity to visit China for 2 weeks to enrich their knowledge and learning in the field of ICT. The Huawei targets youth to thrive in this field to bring innovation and to build human capital for the future needs. The programme is the part of Huawei`s Corporation Social Responsibility initiative and will expose youth to various professional environments.


Senior official from Huawei stated while commenting on the initiative, “This programme will help to develop the local resources to nurture in the domain of ICT and take challenges of this industry in order to meet future needs. Huawei has always taken up lead in CSR and its business philosophy is the community serving while enhancing the technological knowledge and creating enabling and welcoming environment for the perspective youth that have passion to establish their career in ICT”.


It is pertinent to mention that Seeds for future was initially launched in Thailand in 2008, until now it has extended to 40+ country and cover 10000+ students all over the world.
