STAFF REPORT ISB: Institution of Engineers Pakistan, Rawalpindi-Islamabad Chapter (IEP-RIC) would develop its partnership with local universities for enhancing professional development of young and newly graduated engineers. It will also seek the support of the higher education institutions to enhance its membership for collective benefit.


Through the mutual collaboration, the two sides would hold lectures and seminars on professional matters in order to equip the engineers with new developments enabling them to play their useful role in the countrys socio-economic development.


It was decided at the IEP-RIC Administrative and Finance Committees meeting recently held in Islamabad.


Similar collaborations would also be developed with the Engineering Council of Pakistan (ECP) for communitys welfare and professional development.


The meeting was presided over by its Chairman Hafiz M Ehsan Qazi. While taking stock of the institutional work, it was noted that there is a gradual increase of IEP-RIC memberships.


Programs In-charge EngrArjumund Shaikh briefed them about the institutions objectives aiming at promoting engineering education, knowledge dissemination and skills transfer.


The proposed plan of IEP linkages with various institutions, industries, NGOs (national and international) was also discussed in the meeting and it was decided that they would work vigorously to have better career for the young engineers.


Engr Dr. Attaullah Shah stressed that YEF need to come forward and play its effective role in promoting and accelerating activities of IEP-RIC.
