STAFF REPORT KHI: The ninth Food Technology Asia International Exhibition kick started this week at Karachi Expo Centre. The three day exhibition aimed to benefit local market and familiarize the business owners connected to food industry with latest technologies.


The event was inaugurated by Hungarian Ambassador, Istvan Szabo, Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) Chairman Rafique Suleman, and Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senior Vice-President Abdul Rahim Janoo.


A large number of local and international participants from 10 countries including Hungary, China, India, Turkey, UK, and Switzerland are benefitting from the event.


The exhibition allowed local and international companies to showcase their wide product range pertaining to food technology. The incorporation of advanced technologies will not only allow value addition to the food products but also help in attaining food security.
