KOICA announces master degree scholarship for govt officials

STAFF REPORT ISB: Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has invited talented people from developing countries to help them gain professional and systematic knowledge that will play a key role in their home countrys development.


KOICA Resident Representative Sung Choon-ki and President KOICA Alumni Association of Pakistan (KAAP) Dr. Akram joined hand on KOICAs technical cooperation programme in human resource development.


To accomplish this mission, KOICA has been operating masters degree courses with leading Korean universities in the fields of Public policy, Finance and Economics, ICT, Health, Agriculture, Rural Development, Fisheries Science, Development studies and Womens empowerment.


Likewise, KOICA Pakistan alumni exceed over 1000 since 1992 and many government officials benefited from master degree scholarship and training programs through KOICA Pakistan.


A total of 379 participants from across the world including Pakistan will participate in 20 masters degree programmes at 20 best universities and several country focused and multi-country training programmes will be offered in year 2015 in Korea.


On the occasion, Dr. Akram, President KAAP, briefed about KOICA and KAAP activities in Pakistan.


Sung Choon-ki also appreciated the role of Government of Pakistan for its continuous support in the whole process and assured that the Republic of Korea through KOICA Pakistan will continue its efforts to build human resources for the development of Pakistan.
