Microsoft forum enlightens financial leaders

STAFF REPORT LHR: Microsoft in collaboration with the Institute of Bankers Pakistan has recently organized a “Big Data Forum” for finance executives in Karachi. On the occasion, Microsoft specialized speakers highlighted the new ways enterprises can use technology to convert data into insight, enhance business performance in todays fast-evolving economic environment and create data-driven enterprises leading towards robust growth in the financial sector.
This was a pioneering initiative by Microsoft Pakistan, to support and equip the financial sector with revolutionary technologies.
“It is a good sign that leaders of corporate finance in Pakistan have a good understanding of how the new and powerful Data-Analytics technology can help their enterprises arrive at the right decisions,” said Country Enterprise Lead at Microsoft Pakistan, Abid Zaidi.
During the session, the leaders of financial sector and corporate-finance chiefs enlightened on how mobile devices and social computing are causing an explosion in data and connectedness of the cloud, to enable more innovation.
In his remarks, Director Operations at the Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Faisal Hussain, said that Microsoft is consistently empowering the enterprises around the world. “We are fortunate to have a global technology leader inspiring us to excel and compete in a fast evolving and challenging business environment, by skillfully using cutting-edge technologies.”
On the occasion, the speakers shared many examples of how finance leaders are driving business results through ingenious use of Information Technology.
