Staff Report ISB: Mobilink, leading network operator of the country has launched its flagship corporate responsibility initiative. The Make Your Mark initiative is a key element of VimpelComs corporate responsibility strategy.


The fundamental objectives of this initiative are to provide access of technology tools to youth, abetting them to cope with challenges at broader level that hinder their goals by any means and pushing them to unleash their potential thus playing there part in national development at large. Furthermore, imparting tech knowledge to the youth and equipping them with tech literacy is the crux of the project.


Anusha Rehman, Minister of State, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom said, “The Government of Pakistan is committed towards implementing the latest technology to enable the youth of Pakistan.

Make Your make is an encouraging step from Mobilink and will go a long way in supporting the Governments strategy of enabling the young generation of Pakistan through technological advancements.”


Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Dr. Syed Ismail Shah was also present on the occasion, he acclaimed the initiative and hoped it will be create tech literate pool of youth that will cater the persisting problems in ICT and Telecom sector in future.


Jeffrey Hedberg, President and CEO Mobilink said, “Make Your Mark is a unique initiative that feeds directly into Mobilinks corporate responsibility strategy and aims at helping young people in Pakistan through technology, expertise and knowledge.

The initiatives planned under the program will offer support to a variety of beneficiaries to tackle the socio-economic challenges in Pakistan.”


Mobilink has collaborated with LUMS Center of Entrepreneurship, Institute of Social and Policy Sciences, GuarantCo and Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP) in this project and is eyeing on establishment of incubator for nascent entrepreneurs as well.
