STAFF REPORT ISB: The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) holds the mission of Human Resource Development (HRD) in developing countries. The KOICA started Masters Degree Scholarship 2015-16 programme for government officials in different fields including public policy, finance, economics, ICT, agriculture, health, rural development, development studies, fisheries science and women empowerment. Nine students belonging from different public sector organizations from Pakistan were selected under this programme from Pakistan and a pre departure ceremony was held by KOICA for their farewell.


Sung Choon-Ki Resident Representative KOICA Pakistan was present on the occasion. He said, “A total of 379 participants from across the world including Pakistan will participate in 20 masters degree programs at 20 best universities in multiple disciplines”.


The KOICA Scholarship Program provides opportunities for people from developing countries to undertake full-time postgraduate study related to development at participating Korean Universities, in line with Koreas bilateral aid program.


KOICA provides an extended range of advantages covering living expenses while in Korea for the minimum period required to complete the program. The benefits include air travel fare, full tuition fees, accommodation, living allowance, textbooks and materials, study visits, field trips, etc., medical checkup after entry into the program, overseas travelers health insurance.
