STAFF REPORT KHI: A Pakistani brilliant student from Engro Grammar School has made history for himself and his Alma Mater by winning the competition at the National Science Fair 2015-16, first at the provincial level and then at national level, qualifying for a place at the Intel ISEF (Intel International Science and Engineering Fair) finals, going to be held in the USA.


According to details, students of classes 9 to 12 were eligible to participate in different categories and fields of studies from all over Pakistan.


Sarmad Saeed, a student from class A2 at EGS, under the patronage of the schools principal, Sheila Malik, and with the guidance of his biology teacher Arif Ahmed took up the challenge and enthusiastically carried out his research work on his project, “The Effect of Milkaomentar on Production of Milk in Cows”.


In the first stage, the project was submitted in August 2015. The project qualified to be presented in the Intel Sindh Provincial Science Fair 2015, in Karachi. After qualifying in the provincial round, Sarmads project was shortlisted for the National Science Fair that was held from 24th to 28th January, 2016 at COMSATS Lahore. Sarmad again came out victorious and brought laurels for himself and his school by qualifying for the Intel ISEF.
