STAFF REPORT KHI: Pakistans biotechnology sector has taken a giants leap as it has recently signed agreement with a Turkish company to establish first DNA lab at Dow University of Health Sciences here.

The agreement was inked at the Governors House, according to which the Forensic People of Turkey will help set up the lab at the Ojha campus of the varsity.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad termed the MoU signing a milestone to ascertain identities of criminals and sort out other matters.

Pakistan is facing a lot of problems especially in collection evidences in criminal activities due to the lack of any forensic lab in the country.

However, with the establishment of this lab the issue would be overcome significantly, a government official, who was also present on the occasion, said.
