Pakistan, US take initiative for ICT trade mission

MONITORING REPORT ISB: The United States and Pakistan have recently concluded a five-day mission to promote trade and investment in information and communication technology (ICT).
“Pakistans Board of Investment Chairman Miftah Ismail and US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard G. Olson were leading the mission to Washington and Californias Silicon Valley,” said a statement issued by the US State Department.
During the mission, a delegation of 20 Pakistani government and business leaders promoted trade and investment linkages between the two countries.
The participants attended a reception at the residence of Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani, in Washington and began their meetings with US officials.They also visited the US Department of State, Depart-ment of Commerce, the Federal Communications Commission, the United States Agency for Interna-tional Development, the Office of the United States Trade Representative, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
