STAFF REPORT ISB: The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has been directed to initiate an accreditation and certification programme for well reputed information technology companies to bring them in line with International standards.


Minister of state for Information Technology (IT) Ms. Anusha Rahman issued these directive while chairing the Board of Directors meeting of PSEB here.


Federal Secretary IT Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar, MD-PSEB Amir Malik and Saleem Ghauri were also present.


The minister reviewed the on-going projects and directed MD PSEB to make proposals for enhancing the existing capacity of PSEB and suggest measures to make it more vibrant and fruitful.


It was also decided in the board meeting that Ministry of IT and PSEB will participate in IT exhibitions to facilitate IT companies so that they would have an opportunity to market their products locally and internationally.


Anusha also directed MD-PSEB to make all necessary arrangements for early settlement of the land issue with the Punjab Government to acquire allocated lend for the establishment of information technology Park in Lahore, which is lying pending for past many years.
