STAFF REPORT ISB: Representatives of the MCB have recently been hosted at the RIS Wellington Campus to formalize a growing relationship with Roots International Schools (RIS) and invited to sign an MoU to develop initiatives for development, empowerment and mainstreaming quality education in Pakistan.

“RIS is working with different corporate sector organizations in the country to bridge the gap between academic research and industry practices. Also research institutions need to have more focus on how to commercialize their research by increasing industry-academia collaboration,” said Walid Mushtaq CEO Roots International Schools.

He further said that, RIS in collaboration with MCB would take capacity building initiatives for the employees of MCB through interactive workshops, seminars and research initiatives on specific sectors with a focus on education.

According to this MoU, RIS will extend its services to train the spouses of MCB employees to ensure that in-service and pre-service education programmes on the continent are of exceptional quality and direct contextual relevance, producing world class teachers.

The MoU sets out the scope of the RIS support and ongoing involvement in structuring and management of new and existing projects aimed at improving the capacity and performance of infrastructure of education.

Farhan Baig, Business Head North, and Sohail Malik, Head of Sales, Loyalty, and Alliances, both expressed their pleasure at the ceremony and said that it is indeed a great privilege and an exciting opportunity to collaborate with RIS.
