STAFF REPORT LHR: Robotics is easing the mankind lifestyles, industry etc. in


various aspects. The country needs to build capacities in the important field of


robotics to bring automation to ensure precision and time effectiveness.


Information Technology University (ITU) has been an upfront variable in


recognition of this field and strives to build eminent, skilled human resource


through its different degree programs, workshops, seminars, exhibitions etc.


An exhibition has kick started with the title Machines of the Future: Robotics.


The 15 Robots designed and constructed by ITU students were displayed at the


exhibition to showcase the talent and professionalism of students and also


encourage them through appreciation and build a competitive environment in the


university.


Renowned ICT expert and Dean Faculty of Electrical Electronics and Computer


Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Prof.


Dr. B.S. Chowdhry attended the event as chief guest. He threw light on importance


of robotics and its need for national development. He appreciated the efforts of the


participants and was overjoyed with the talent and skill of the youth. Prof BS


Chowdhry commented, “The future of country is in youth`s hand, and I am


enthralled by the proficiency of the students. ITU is playing a key role in robotics


and technological capacity building for future. The efforts need uninterrupted


continuity in order to achieve the sustainable development goals”.
