STAFF REPORT ISB: Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Masoom Yasinzai has said nations who realize importance of education and technology, emphasize on innovations and as a result have top positions in the list of developed nations.

“We should not rely on others and instead of asking help we should ask developed nations to provide us opportunities to learn from their experiences” said Dr. Masoom as chief guest at the 11th biennial international conference of the Pakistan Chest Society (PCS) on Chest Diseases and Lung Health here.

Leading pulmonologists, general practitioners and other specialists from all over Pakistan attended the conference while several foreign participants and speakers also joined the three-day conference.

Martyn Partridge, professor of respiratory medicine at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, was the guest of honour and Prof. Dr. Naeem Agha, president of PCS, and Dr. Shireen Khan, chairperson of the scientific committee were among the prominent speakers.
