TVETA starts demand-driven short courses for customers

STAFF REPORT LHR: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has introduced demand-driven short courses for customer support executives and meat technology.
Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh disclosed this while addressing a meeting which was held at TEVTA Secretariat to review the progress for initiating these demand driven short courses.
Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and other officers were also present on this occasion.
Irfan said that Custom Support Executive (International) and Custom Support Executive (Domestic) classes have been planned at the Govt. College of Technology Railway Road and Govt. Technical Training Institute for Women Township as pilot project in collaboration with IBX Global.
Candidates having bachelor degree with abilities of best proficient in communication, analyzing proficiency and computer skills are given preference for admission.
The chairperson TEVTA further said that after successful completion of the first batch, the classes of Meat Technology are also being started with the collaboration of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at its campus.
The graduates of Meat Technology would have the same opportunity inside and outside the country. Full attention is now being given for imparting quality technical education and train the youth in order to provide job opportunities so that they may get prominent place in the society.
