STAFF REPORT ISB: United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and TheNetwork for Consumer Protection launched ‘Ensuring Access to Safe Drinking Water’ project in order to enhance the drinking water quality in accordance with the global measures.


TheNetwork CEO Nadeem Iqbal marked the launching of project and said that it is extremely befuddling for buyers to see how to address issues in the event that they discover their drinking water polluted. “We need to bring EPA, CDA, NIH, PCRWR, Planning Commission and WASA on board to talk about and address purchaser issues for safe water”.


The project is bolstered by the USAID. Authorities from Pakistan Council of Research in Water Recourses (PCRWR), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Capital Development Authority (CDA), National Institute of Health (NIH), and Environment Protection Agency (EPA) agents from the scholarly world and common society likewise tended to the function.


According to the PCRWR representative, because of the population increase, water contamination and shortage has expanded. To battle these issues the PCRWR has propelled significant National Water Quality projects in 24 urban communities of Pakistan which demonstrated that just 15 percent of the chose tests were ok to drink.
