STAFF REPORT LHR: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore gave free clinical services to livestock farmers and general public. The free medical camps were setup in order to facilitate people to treat their sacrificial animals from various infectious diseases that spread out due to various reasons.
Vice Chancellor UVAS, Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha sorted out these free clinics and Eid camps to encourage the general public in treatment of their animals amid Eid ul Adha days. UVAS employees and postgraduate and DVM students treated the animals at these centers and camps.
Vice Chancellor said, “UVAS has confidence out in the open services and such free Eid camps and clinical services amid Eid days are one such example”. He welcomed the endeavors of employees and postgraduate/DVM students in arranging such initiatives.
As per the UVAS sources, a total of 5,134 cases were attended at its centers on City and Ravi Campuses and at Eid camps at Suggian and Shahpur Kanjran dairy cattle markets amid Eid ul Adha days. Further breakup shows, 2,746 cases (2,477 little and 269 expansive creatures) were gone to at City Campus Outdoor center, 668 cases (436 little and 232 little creatures) at Ravi Campus facility from September 10 to Sept 27 while 1,720 cases (900 little and 820 vast creatures) were gone to at Suggian and Shahpur Kanjran Eid camps.
