STAFF REPORT ISB: The SandT development in any country is assurance of national development and all the fractions of society must be brought into the mainstream SandT sector beyond gender and other social races. This was nerved in 7th monthly brainstorming session event on Making Pakistan Science Conscious at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi organized by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS).


Prof Zabta Khan Shinwari, Secretary General PAS said while speaking in the meeting, “The women are no less in potential in any field and are able to work at par to men; no doubt Pakistani male scientists have achieved milestone achievements in various scientific and technological avenues but Pakistani women also have credit to their part on national development in many ways, that needs to be enhanced through encouragement of women in SandT sector”.


Vice Chancellor of FJWU, Prof Dr Naheed Zia Khan, lauded the efforts of PAS and said focus on SandT is the only way forward for national development.


Prof Dr Anwar Nasim, President PAS was also present on the occasion. He enumerated various programmes of the organization aimed to promote scientific culture in the country.
