STAFF REPORT LHR: NTDCL Director (Finance) Hammad Ahmad has said that young engineers are hope and future of the power sector and that the National Transmission and Dispatch Company is the backbone of the system which contributes to Pakistans development.


He was addressing the three-day Orientation/ Familiarisation programme duly arranged for newly appointed 92 junior engineers in the NTDCL from all over the country at Wapda House Lahore.


Hammad as chief guest of the occasion conveyed the message of Managing Director NTDC who was on an official visit to China and welcomed the newly inducted engineers.


He said that there was no shortcut to hard work and encouraged them to be part of governments efforts for mitigating the loadshedding prevailing in the country, which was hampering the national economy. He also updated them about the vision of NTDCL with the aim to provide and maintain a fault-free high voltage system with minimum possible losses and expenditure with the concerted efforts of management and engineering section.


Gulzar Sheikh, Director General HR and Admin, also spoke on the occasion and said that the recruitment of junior engineers was totally done on professional basis.


During the event, junior engineers also expressed their gratitude and lauded NTDC management for hiring them through a merit based and transparent process.
