STAFF REPORT LHR: Wateen Telecom, recently ranked as Pakistans top wireless broadband company by the PTA, has also been awarded the Consumer Choice Award for Best Internet Service Provider in the country.
The award was presented at a prestigious ceremony for the 7th Annual Consumer Choice Awards, held in Karachi last week.
According to details, in total around 85 awards were presented in various categories, ranging from financial services to FMCG to telecommunications.
Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khoro along with Raza Haroon, Provincial Minister for Information Technology, gave the award to Jalil Ahmed Farooqi, Wateens head of consumer for the southern region.
In his remarks, Jalil said that its an honour that his Company has been selected by the Pakistani consumers for internet service.
The company also introduced multiple payment methods for customer ease, including online e-banking, easypaisa, as well as NADRA e-Sahulat Centers.
Commenting on the award, Wateen CEO Naeem Zamindar said, “To be selected by Pakistani consumers as their choice of preferred and most reliable internet service providing company is an honour and a testament to the improvements brought in to the network over the last year.”
