STAFF REPORT KHI: Sharmila Faruqui, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister, has said that IMTIC 2012 has brought together a wide spectrum of international experts to facilitate a creative environment for the promotion of collaboration and knowledge transfer.
She said this while addressing the recently held book launching ceremony of “Emerging Trends and Applications in Information and Communication Technologies” of Prof Dr BS Chowdhry in Sindh last week.
This book is published by Springer Verlag Germany in its Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series, Vol. 281. It constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 2nd international multi-topic conference, IMTIC 2012. Purpose of the conference was to provide opportunities for national and international researchers and practitioners to present the most recent advances and future challenges in the fields of computer and software engineering, electronics, telecommunication, control, multimedia information systems, simulation and modeling and so on.
This year the conference received 205 submissions – confirming a trend of increasing interest in IMTIC -coming from over 30 different countries.
The 51 revised full papers presented on the occasion were carefully reviewed by the selection committee and selected from 205 submissions. The papers address most of the emerging topics from information communication technologies.
