STAFF REPORT IBD: Participation of five Pakistani scholars was well recognized at the 1st international conference on Mobility for Life: Technology, Telecommunication and Problem Based Learning. A world famous Pakistani scholar Prof. Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) attended the conference as a keynote speaker and gave presentation on “Successful Transformation of ICT Graduate Programme: A Role Model for Developing Countries”.
Prof. Chowdhry also encouraged potential and active scholars from Karachi and Nawabshah which resulted in active participation of three authors from Karachi namely Prof. Dr. Bilal Ahmad Alvi (Insitute of Business Management), Engr. Muhammad Aamir (Sir Syed University) and Engr. Samreen Amir (Sir Syed University). While Engr. Fizza Abbas Alvi represented QUEST Nawabshah and presented her research work at the conference. The conference was jointly organized by Mae Fah Luang University and Aalborg University, Denmark, together with the consortium of 18 universities from Europe and Asia.
The introduction of the conference presented by the co-host Prof. Ramjee Prasad, Aalborg University. Inaugural address and keynote speech was made by academicians from Denmark, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, and Thailand. Some from the consortium of Erasmus Mundus Programme had provoked interesting discussion among the participants. Twenty three selected papers on the conference theme: Technology, Telecommunication and Problem Based Learning presented in technical sessions.
