STAFF REPORT IBD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan National Commission for Unesco (PNCU) have been given under the administrative-cum-financial control of the Ministry of Professional and Technical Training.

Federal Minister for Professional and Technical Training Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada was told at a briefing that NAVTTC is working on 39 projects while 16 new projects will be started as 300 million rupees budget has been approved for all projects continuation.

The minister instructed the Executive Director NAVTTC to start training courses for convicted women and children in the jails and they should be given training of handicrafts and other possible skills so that after completing their conviction they could lead to successful life.

The other training course that is proposed by Federal Minister is to train matriculation and intermediate girls for nursing in Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital, Nishtar Hospital and during these six months and one year training courses all girls will be given stipends.

Another project that is proposed by Federal Minister is national agriculture research centre and for agrarian research purposes, vice chancellors of Arid University Rawalpindi, Faisalabad Agriculture University should be called and the youth from these universities should be exploited.
