ieee_optSTAFF REPORT JAMSHORO: Dean FEECE and IEEE PES Branch Councilor Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry has said that the chapter of IEEE PES has been started first in the Sindh province for the professional development of engineers. It will conduct short courses, student seminars and conferences, mini project and ethics competitions and many more. He said that the final year students will also be encouraged for their research projects and IEEEPES will provide funding to the best projects. He said this while addressing the inaugurating ceremony of the IEEE Inc USA, at Mehran University, MUET Jamshoro, Sindh, where Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aslam Uqaili was the chief guest. He said, MUET is committed for providing quality education to the students. Our faculty members are highly qualified from universities of national and international repute. They are utilizing their best potentials for the improvements of curricular and co-curricular activities. In this regard, IEEE PES will provide a platform for improving the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)  of both students professionals and the students of the electrical engineering. He further said, Mehran university will provide their full support in terms of funds and university facilities for  newly inaugurated society. The Chairman, department of Electrical Engineering briefed the participants about the highly equipped laboratories of electrical department. He further said that IEEE PES chapter will benefit the students in their academic education. He assured his full support from the department.
