STAFF REPORT KHI: Chairman PARC Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad has said that various irrigation and watershed management technologies have been developed and are being tested to meet future challenges. He said this at a recently held high-level meeting in the city. He said that various irrigation and watershed management technologies have been developed and being tested to meet future challenges. He also briefed the PARC role and mandate in terms of international coordination and local collaborations for rehabilitation and improvement of irrigation system in Pakistan and particularly in the province of Sindh.
The meeting was jointly held by PARC, ICARDA and USDA on “Rehabilitation and Irrigation Improvement in Pakistan”. Dr. Otto Gonzalez from the USDA, Dr. A Majid, Country Representative, ICARDA, agriculture experts and many stakeholders across Sindh, and private emprises participated in the meeting and exchanged their knowledge and experiences.
