STAFF REPORT IBD: Pakistans economy depends on agriculture sector, therefore, the role of agriculture scientists as think-tank who are the asset of our country cannot be avoided.


“The retirement of agricultural scientists would be a great loss to the PARC. The Council will suffer a lot in the coming years,” remarked PARC Chairman Dr Iftikhar Ahmad while addressing the retired agricultural scientists, officers and staff members.


He stressed the administration and accounts directorates to facilitate the retired employees on priority basis to settle their pension and other issues.


He directed the scientists association to coordinate with retired scientists to benefit from their knowledge and experiences.


Dr Iftikhar asked the management to prepare a project for establishment of hospital alongwith laboratory facility for the treatment of employees and their families. He advised a PARC Foundation might also be established to further facilitate the employees of PARC.


The Chairman PARC distributed performance shield to Dr Saleem Zahid, ex-PSO, Saleem Zia Toor, ex-PSO, Abdul Qayyum, ex-PSO, Ghulam Sarwar, ex-PEO, Iftikhar Ali Khan, ex-Director FandA, Najeeb Ullah, ex-PSO, Muhammad Saeed, ex-PRO, Shahid Hameed, Zulfiqar Ali, Faiz Akbar and M. Yasin.
