STAFF REPORT IBD: Top CIOs, CISOs and IT heads of the regional states gathered at a recently arranged exclusive roundtables in Islamabad to inculcate dialogue about the growing insecurity regarding cloud breaches world over.


The exercise is part of the CSO Central Series organized by CSO/IDG in Pakistan,


During the meeting, the participants focused on creating dialogue around the topic Security, Enterprise and the Cloud. It was held as part of Cyber Secure Pakistan 2014.


“The forum creates a perfect opportunity to discuss strategies to counter threats related to cloud computing,” said Regional MD and Publisher of IDG products in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Salaina Haroon on the meeting.


He said that CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and other senior personnel dealing with assurance, audits and sensitive information in their respective enterprises get a chance to share valuable working knowledge in their dealing with security issues associated with the cloud.


Ammar Jaffri, President of PISA, stated the following: “This mini forum held for security was an excellent effort in that direction and I look forward to seeing such events being organized in other cities of Pakistan as well.”


Participants of the roundtable included technology vendors from Trillium, Commtel, Interactive, Catalyic and IT heads from organizations such as SNGPL, Fauji Foundation, Nishat Mills, SECP, CDA, Pakistan Post Office and Habib Metropolitan Bank among many others.
