STAFF REPORT ISB: The Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources, Islamabad, has celebrated the World Water Day. This year the Day was celebrated with the school going children of Rawalpindi/Islamabad to raise awareness of water, its uses and its impotance for life on earth.


At this occasion, Chairman PCRWR Tarik Saeed Hijazi was the chief guest, while and Secretary PCRWR Ch. Muhammad Akram, Engr. Muhammad Azam, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Ms. Hifza Rasheed, Engr. Faizan-ul-Hassan and Dr. Fouzia Altaf were the main speekers.


They spoke in detail on the importance of water and present situation in the country. The other Regional Offices situated in Peshawar, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Tandojam and Quetta also celebrated the World Water Day in their respective regions.
