Engineering industry sees bright future in Pakistan


STAFF REPORT KHI: Prospects of a bright future for the engineering industry are very much here in Pakistan and once ready for execution, the already announced energy projects will boost the industry that will contribute a lot in progress especially in the industrial sector.


Speakers said this at the 29th International Multi-Topic Symposium recently organised by Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEEP) Karachi Chapter.


Chief guest was Amjad Parvez Janjua, MD and CEO Pakistan State Oil, while the keynote address was delivered by Guenter Zwickl MD and CEO Siemens Pakistan. Engr. Tahir Basharat Cheema Central President IEEEP was also present.


The participants also included engineers, academics and corporate leaders.


Amjad Janjua expressed the hope that the symposium will prove to be a useful venue for interdisciplinary exchange of perspectives as well as produce a rigorous debate invaluable for implementation oriented solutions to Pakistans greatest engineering challenges.
