STAFF REPORT KHI: Wateen Telecom and Qubee have decided upgrade their existing infrastructure to support high-speed Long Term Evolution (LTE) or 4G broadband in Pakistan.

In this regard, both the companies have signed an agreement with Huawei Technologies under which Huawei would supply the hardware for this network upgrade. According to a press release, this process is expect to be completed in a month.

“In the first stage the two companies would upgrade their infrastructure while the announcements regarding the improvement in services or new services would be made later,” said Wateens Manager Corporate Communications and Public Relations, Salman Mazhar.
