STAFF REPORT KHI: Sindh Minister for Agriculture, Supply and Prices, Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar said that the government has approved the project worth Rs 9 billion to provide required facilities to Sindh growers.

He said this while addressing the workshop on “Right use of water to increase production” recently held here which was organised by Directorate General Agriculture Engineering and Water Management Sindh.

“Under this project, the compensation would be made to those growers who suffered losses in their crops of onions, chillies, rice and dates,” he added.

He said that the guidance and latest machineries would be provided to growers to increase production of crops.

The Sindh minister said that major projects to be launched soon and under which new 5500 water course would be made Paka (to be cemented). Aside from this, the lazar levelling would be made of 200,000 acres land, he mentioned.
